My cervix is soft. And from what the nurse said it sounds like I have SPD. Ill talk to my dr tomorrow but can SPD cause early labor. If it is confirmed SPD do I have to have a csection. I'm 34 weeks and I really don't want a c section at all if I can help it.

I googled I should not have googled.

Step away from the Google!

I had severe SPD with DS2 and was put on bedrest at 13 weeks. That being said, he was born vaginally the day after his due date

I'm overly paranoid about early labor. Especially since I am having so many braxton hicks and now this. :/ my drs are too I guess because I have been getting that ffn I think test done weekly since 31 weeks.

I was way crampier and had way more BH with my second pregnancy than I did with my first. Two times I legit thought labor was starting and then it just stopped after like 6 hours, I was pissed lol.

I had BH with Ava starting at 25 weeks this baby starting at 17. I've been monitored because I have at least 6 an hour every hour but there not "signifigant enough" so I've just had to deal with it and I drink lots of water so its not dehydration.

I had fairly severe SPD with my second. I had to wear this support body suit that looked like a crotchless jumpsuit.

I did have preterm labor issues but that was due to a shortened weakened cervix.

A chiropractor can really help with SPD. Mine sure helped me. Also, hip abductor exercises helps a lot, like the abductor machine at the gym, or stand between two things slightly more than hip width apart and push out with your knees, that sort of thing.
No SPD does not mean c-section or cause preterm birth. You're gonna be okay! SPD should die a horrid death.

Our insurance doesn't cover chiropractors :'(

Boo! We just got coverage just in time with this last pregnancy; so helpful. Well there are some exercises that help, too. Google that instead of scaring yourself like you were doing. :)

Does your insurance cover physical therapy? I was able to leave the confines of my bed 3x a week to do physical therapy in the pool when I had SPD. It was very helpful.
