My sister was on something earlier this year, I don't remember what or what it was for but one of the side effects were swollen b**bs, lactating, and false positive pregnancy tests. It wasn't HCG, it was for something to do with her gall bladder I believe.

The only studies that have shown certain drugs (not containing HCG) could cause a false positive pregnancy test were in the 1960's when pregnancy tests were very different. They were basically OPKs, picking up HCG and LH.

Do you have a link on that with references? Not challenging, genuinly asking. I see it often quoted as causing false positives along with Phenothiazine but Phenothiazine is one of those that was studied in the 60's. It's actually pretty hard to find credible sources on this. Lots of articles make such claims but either they post no references or their references don't support their claims.

I can see that point of view. Technically all pregnancies are chemical until far enough along to be visualized by ultrasound, at which point they become clinical.

Yeah I would love to know where the claims originate from. Like UTI causing false positives? Where are they getting that info?

well i dont know about the chemical or not but i started throwing up. i dont think it was a false positive and im going to the doctor later this week. i think i actually might be pregnant..

its probably in your head. pregnancy psychosis.

no deff not in my head i forgot all about it and went about my day/life and i never throw up not even when i have the regular flu
