I'm not pregnant or TTC but... I don't need an excuse to think of baby names. My son's name is River Thomas- how do you feel about that name? I'm pretty stuck on nature-y names, and if I ever had a girl I love Stormy, Sage, Willow, and Rain/Raine. I also really like Rowan.
My question is- do you think that is super tacky or stupid? I mean, I like what I like and opinions can't really change that, but I'm curious. If you heard of a brother and sister named River and Sage or Willow or whatever, what would you think?

you'll look like such a hippy, but I'm all for it.

Just don't name your kids Rainbow or Snowflake. I legit had a customer named snowflake. I thought her name was Snow and I was like okay, and her kid Rain, okay, until I saw their full names :lol:

I'd automatically think he was a hippy tree huger.

Sage is ok, but Stormy? No, just no

Actually I love all of those names. And they'd be a little matchy but I don't think thats a bad thing in this case. Rowan is beautiful that's my favorite.

I think Sage or Willow would be nice, but Rain or Stormy...eh. They don't sound right with River imo.

If you have a girl you have to name her Brook then, it will go with River!
but honestly I love the name River, and Willow and Sage.

It's funny, I have a distant cousin named Stormy and that was my first exposure to a 'weird' name. I loved it instantly. Because I've heard it since I was a kid and I know multiple Stormys, it's one of the more 'normal' names on my list, to me. And a ton of people (here and RL) HAAATE it. It's really interesting :)

well I guess I am kindof a hippie, depending on what that means to you haha. I like tye-dye things. And hiking. And I don't eat meat. All I need are some dreadies and a bong.

I think River and Sage would be great sibling names.

I would think hippies, crunchy granola parents. However DH has a friend he grew up with and her name is Rivers, she comes from a super conservative southern family so I guess I can't really stereotype too much lol.

I do like Rowan and River, a lot actually. Stormy is a GP name of mine but seeing a Stormy and River is just too much matchy.
