Quoting Mann Makin' Mama[BBM]:" My test looked just like this with my youngest (FRER) and it turns out he was a twin. My levels were 900,000 at 8 weeks 4 days (I think, 4 days) at the ER."

My DH will seriously flip out if its twins. He just took a lower paying job to be home more & to be more happy. Hoping its just one very healthy baby in there.

Wow that is one dark test! I just browsed through pictures from my positive tests from my twins and they aren't nearly that dark lol. Our first positive was really light and it was around 5 weeks.

Hey I know the feeling. SO would have shit a gold brick, along with everyone else is DS#2's twin would have made it. They were Momo twins (same sac, same placenta) and that makes up 1% of all twin pregnancies. The survival rate is extremely low, like 3%.

Wow that is very rare. Glad you got one healthy baby from that pregnancy.

Tests don't tell you "How" pregnant you are. Just that you are or are not. Dark tests don't mean much more than light tests, other than they're awesome to get.

I got the same thing and thought "oh shit twins" turns out I ovulated pretty much the day after my period ended, so I was further along than I thought.

Totally agree w/all of the above.... besides every woman produces different levels of hcg for each pregnancy. In theory a frer should give you an extremely dark line when taking it a week after missed AF since they are manufactured to pick up smaller amounts of hcg.........

Quoting ♥ Jen ♥:" I'm 5 weeks 2 days and for the heck of it I poas again an opk & hpt. These are way darker than my ... [snip!] ... darker than my other two kids at the 5 week mark. You can barely see the control line on the FRER the test line is so dark. "

that is how mine looked at 3.5 almost 4 weeks and my hcg was super high they think there might have been 2 but 1 didn't develope they almost thought i was having a threatened miscarriage because my numbers were so high but they couldn't see a thing i was getting my levels checked for 3 weeks along with weekly u/s before they could see anything

Ok i think I"m confused .. but the dark one is an OPK .. right? And the barely there one is the EPT?

Edit: Figured it out. I thought the dark line on the EPT was the control line. Coffee hasn't kicked in apparently.

It just means there's so much hcg that it's pulling color from the control line.

I used both FRER and Answer tests- like 4 all together- and they were all like that at 5 weeks. Barely there control lines. I've had 2 u/s's and there's definitely only 1 baby in there and I am measuring exactly right. It just means you're pregnant! Congrats!

This was my BFP at about 4 weeks and about an hour after I took it. I thought I was about 8 weeks bc I didn't have a period for 2 months, but when I went in at 11 weeks for an ultrasound it showed I was only 7 weeks. My line also came up instantly. I remember thinking "that line is too far to the left to be the control line" lol. Then a few seconds later the control line came up.
