this is for a friend she has asked me to post on here, this is what she said:
"Ok here we go again another one of ..... random questions im on the larger side shall we say. Im 26+6 days I can feel baby move occasionally but I would have thought I would feel it more compared to what I see other say about the baby kicking. Is it because im bigger that im not feeling it as much and am I just being paranoid"
No, there is no fat inside the uterus. I'm 'bigger' and felt my babies strongly at 17 weeks.
But she could have an anterior placenta which prevents some feeling (my first was anterior and it was true compared to this baby where it's posterior).
thank you, she also wants to know how often she should feel the baby move and after how long of not feeling the baby move should she phone her midwife
Like the previous poster said, she probably has the placenta on the outside wall which softens the feeling a lot. My first was like this.
a lot of things i have read say that being overweight does make it harder to feel movement early on
Quoting T + H = My World:" thank you, she also wants to know how often she should feel the baby move and after how long of not feeling the baby move should she phone her midwife "
Here, they tell us to start kick counts at 28 weeks and if we don't feel 6 movements in 2 hours to call your dr/midwife.
