My son plays with just about anything, dolls, trucks, g.i.joes, he plays in my purse too. I don't make a big deal out of it especially if it keeps him occupied. When others say something usually I give them a piece of my mind.

DH is like that a little bit. As if playing with girl toys is going to magically make him grow a vagina.
DH won't ever buy DS a doll or something, but he won't prevent him from playing with DD's.

It is a shame that he will be judged, yet you see a little girl playing with a car or GI joe or something and its fine. For me, I dont give a rats ass. My son plays with barbies, dolls, pink "girly" toys, AND blocks, cars, and "boy" toys. If anyone says anything they can kiss my black ass. My son isnt going to be gay or a wimp due to it...and even if he is SO what!

Meh. Toys are toys. Nobody says anything when my son picks up a babrbie or baby doll

That's how I feel. My son has always been "different" than what we imagined having a boy would be like but it shouldn't matter at all. No matter what he's going to grow up to be his own person and people judging him at such a young age is only going to have a negative affect. DH and I love him no matter what.

My dad got upset the other day cause I got ds a pink playground type ball.

I handed him a pink one to see if he liked it because it was right next to me. He did so I put it in the cart..... He doesn't care what color it is, he just liked the ball.....

I don't understand the girl toy boy toy thing.... Theyre just toys. Same as they're just colors and they're just clothes....

My MIL flipped shit on her sister when she bought DD a toy truck for her 2nd bday. I don't get it, its not like I didn't play with Tonka truks and GI Joes growing up.

I hear this a lot. My sons 4th birthday is coming up and I got him an awesome pink stroller. They have a kitchen, dolls, another doll carriage. One of my boys favorite colors in pink so he has pink stretch pants for bed. And last week *gasp* my DH and I got him pink hello kitty boots. They were the ones he picked and wanted - the one that is going to be 4. I keep getting comments like, princess is going too far, hello kitty is too much. if he was a little girl no one would give a second thought if Spider-Man or superman or x- men was a want. I give zero shits what others think. All I care is that he is raised to be comfortable in his own skin.

I love this! It makes me feel better. My sons favorite color was pink for the longest time, lol.

People need to worry about their own selves. Pink is just another color.

It's just annoying when we Skype with my family back in Colorado. There's always laughs and eye rolls and stupid jokes. I know they don't mean anything by them but I just hope they stop by the time LO realizes what sarcasm is.
