So right now i should be about 8 weeks 2 days pregnant. Since about 6 weeks ive been spotting brown to pinkish on and off. I have had 2 ultrasounds showing a baby with a heatbeat measuring on track. But last friday and saturday i didnt have any spotting so i was getting stoked thinking things may be ok after all. But starting sunday the spotting started again but now its like a constant orange brown mucus thats thick and smells like metal. TMI i know. and my cervix feels tingly and sometimes i get a random shooting pain. I have so much anxiety going on rught now. its stressing me the hell out. sorry but ive called in to be seen twice now thinking the baby had died so i feel stupid calling again. Also the day after the vaginal ultrasound i had like clear to white cottage cheesy discharge. Im praying that i may just have a yeast infection causing all these problems but since i just had a miscarriage in may i feel like this is also going to end the same. i wish my body could just decide what the hell it wants. i cant handle all this stress.

Have you recently had sex? I had spotting my entire first trimester, and sometimes it was much more like a period flow, they never found a real cause but my lo was perfectly fine. I also had brown/orange stringy discharge for my entire pregnancy and it was from sex irritating my cervix and causing it to bleed and then mix with fluids.

No recent sex. She put me on pelvic rest so its been about 4-5 days since we had sex.

I am sorry, I understand your worry and don't feel bad about calling. Stressing out isn't good for you or your pregnancy so calling is probably the best thing you can do to calm your nerves. My pregnancy was categorized as a threatened miscarriage for the first trimester from the bleeding so I completely understand how you are feeling. I wish you the best.

You can always call your dr if you want to. That's what they're there for after all. I normally spot throughout my 1st tri. My 2nd pregnancy after I lost my son, my bleeding during the 1st tri lasted until I was 12 weeks along. I went in a couple of times, but eventually stopped going on when I realized it was normal for me during that pregnancy.

The ER is a bad idea because it's pretty rare for them to give you good information. They might or might not do an U/S. They'll probably throw around words like 'threatened miscarriage' ,etc.

If it was me and my pregnancy, I wouldn't be going in until I was bleeding. Like bleeding bleeding .. not orangey mucus. Orange mucus just means that most likely your cervix is irritated.

In a hypothetical situation where the pregnancy wasn't viable (not that I think that is what's going on here), going in isn't going to fix it. The 1st tri is one of those times when we don't have any control over how it's going to turn out. The pregnancy will either move past the 1st tri or it won't. It sucks, but that's how it works.

I know 3 people who bled early in pregnancy & their pregnancy went good and had healthy baby so try not to stress too much since there is a heartbeat that's a really good sign! I bled but there was no heart beat so you know... anyways 1 person I know their bleeding couldn't be explained but they gave birth to healthy baby... the 2nd person had a cyst & the 3rd had some sort of placenta issue but it fixed itself. you should call your clinic asap they may get you in earlier than a week away.

Thank you. I needed to hear that. What has me so concerned is that with my miscarriage i never had anything more then brown spotting. This isnt quite the same yet though. I appreciate the help. I guess ill just wait until next week. Longest wait of your life.... ugh
