Hello everyone :) I'm new here and just had a question to ask you. I recently had a laparoscopy done along with a dye test for my tubes due to pelvic pain. My physician found my tubes were clear and everything was normal. However, I had these procedures done during my second day of menstruation. Is this ok? I am so afraid that the dye test may have pushed blood and bacteria through my tubes. Is this a possibility? Or am I just being paranoid? I'd appreciate the feedback.

Back when I had that done, I was on preventative antibiotics for a couple of days before they did the test. They also have to do it during a certain point in your cycle because they want to make sure you aren't pregnant when the test is going on. Mine was done a week after my period started.

I had a fairly good amount of bleeding afterwards. It lasted a couple of days. I also got pregnant that cycle.
