Has anyone successfully delivered their baby vaginally even though they had a C section with extra scar tissue on the c section cut?

I am planning to attempt a VBAC after one C section. I am only 5 weeks right now but I'm already worried that I wont be able to do it or more so that something will go wrong and i'll end up having a emergency c section. I know it's kind of silly but I also have a fear of ripping my c section scar open. My husband makes big headed babies lol

Was your VBAC successful? How was it pain wise? What do they do differently?

I had a VBA2C 10 months ago :D I loved that my dr and hospital treated it like any other vaginal delivery. When I attempted VBAC with baby #2 my dr's malpractice insurance carrier gave him very little wiggle room (even though he was 100% for it) and so even waiting 10 days past DD it didn't happen. This third baby my dr actually brought it up before I even could and was really excellent. My hospital especially made me feel really relaxed during my delivery. They really did put a repeat cesarean on the very back burner- only to be brought up if truly medically necessary and that was reassuring. He was even willing to use low risk induction methods at 42 weeks if needed. I could tell he didn't want a cesarean any more than I did!!

Labor was a bit long as it was my first real, spontaneous TOL but it went well! No hiccups :D

I think having honestly supportive, on board care is key!! Good luck!!

Thank you so much for all that. I really hope that it goes as good for me as it did for you. I just don't want to rip and then have to have a c section anyways cause I couldnt do it :/
