DS is 6 and he keeps getting bad notes from his kindergarten teacher.

Yesterday he was rough housing and running around the lunchroom.

Today... TODAY he got 2 notes.
1 saying he crawled under a boy's stall in the bathroom. The boy got upset and told him he would pee on him if he didn't leave. DS started punching the boy in te stomach. The teacher ran in when she heard the screams. :?

Then at PE he had a pool noodle for an activity and he started beating the hell out of a kid with the noodle.

Idk what to do.

He got an ear full from both me and DH and when he got home he got a 6 minute time out, plus no TV at all and he must stay in his room and clean and if it's not clean by the time DH gets home DH said it's all going in the trash.

So far it looks like its all going in the trash. :?

And then DS had the balls to ask if he's still getting his $5 for being good. I was like "um hell no."

Oh no. He can behave when he wants to. He knows how to behave. He just won't.

He thinks it's funny. He Even tries to beat on adults, thinking he's hilarious. But he's not.

I think so. DH doesn't want it, though. :?

Have you tried a positive reinforcement chart? Let him know that if he can get good marks for X number of days he can do something special.

Yeah we've tried that. All it does it make him flip shit when he doesn't get his surprise at the end of the week because he want good all week. :(

I'm sorry. It does sound like he might have some pent up anger, and talking to someone could help. Do you know why your husband is so against counseling?

Its not fair to the other students. They shouldnt have to worry about being harmed in class."</blockquote>

I agree whole heartedly.

He's in there screaming now that he doesn't want to clean and we're so mean.

My son is seeing a counselor for his behavior and its very similar to that. And he's the same age.

I think he just doesn't want DS to be labeled as troubled. The pedi thinks it's ODD and FAS.

Well he needs to think about what is in his best interest not what other people think. I would bring it up again or you might be looking at expoltion in the near future. And that certainly isn't something he wants for your ds I'm sure.

You're right. I've been saying that. :(

We told DS that if he doesn't straighten up he'll be sent to Alpine, which is the truth. The school system here doesn't play. We hoped it would scare him straight, but apparently not. :?

The next step is having a cop talk to him. Fortunately I know a sherrif's deputy.
