Did they talk to your child about it? My son came home talking about how some men crashed planes into the twin towers. We havent talked about 9/11 with him yet hes 5. The school or teacher didnt send a note or inform us this was going to happen. Thats pretty scary for a 5 year old. Just wondering if others schools did.

Neither do i. It's like talking about war on remembrance day, it's just a fact of life... poopy, but it happened.

No. I work at an elementary and we steer clear of those topics, same as went the sandy hook shooting went down and the Boston tragedy.
We have meetings about such topics. Our job is to make an environment that's safe and calm for the kids. A kindergartener isn't going to be able to comprehend what a 5th grader can. Yes talk 9-11 to 5th graders not kindis

My son's preK did. But it's a ore-K for military kids. Their daddies go off to war, so they are able to process war and terrorism and death totally differently than civi kids

No, they didn't, but I wouldn't have minded if they had. I've talked to her about it already.

I don't think they talked to it with my daughter. She's 6. I did explain to her however that it MIGHT be brought up, and that it was okay to talk about it. I just don't want them telling them scary stuff. I just told her a lot of people went to Heaven that day - and there was heros and zeros.
