Make a baking soda paste, baking soda and a little water and brush twice a week with that. Strawberries have a natural whitening agent. Stop smoking and drinking coffee if you do either. Rinse your mouth with water after you eat, if you can't brush.

Baking soda, little toothpaste and drop of water. Mix into a paste, brush for 2 mins then rinse. Do this once a week.

I personally recommend six monthly visits to a dental hygienist for a really good clean. In between visits there is some natural help. Here are a few suggestions:

A glass of water after eating to rinse away food debris.
Strawberries contain a natural whitening properties.
Chewing raisins increases saliva, a bit like chewing gum.
Milk, yoghurt and cheese contain properties which promote strong tooth enamel. A lot of staining is down to enamel loss.
And finally of course, brushing and flossing.

Hi Sophia
It's all very well trying natural remedies but there comes a time when you need that bit of extra help. Home tooth whitening kits are so much better now and as long as you chose one that doesn't contain peroxide they're safe and are more or less natural.

So much less expensive than going to a dentist you can get surprisingly quick results if you chose the right product.

Check out a decent system here!
