i have a 4 month old im starting her on oat meal because shes only 9 lbs was born at 4 lbs 14 ounces.Has anyone else fed there baby baby oatmeal and did it help them gain weight?

Solids shouldn't be introduced until six months..

i know tons of people who fed there baby cereal when the were under 6 months

FIlling her up on cereal probably isn't the way to make her gain weight, unless your doctor told you to do it. She needs the nutrition in formula or breastmilk. 4 month is kinda young for solids..imo.

4 months is too young for solids and at this point formula/breastmilk has more calories than oatmeal so introducing solids could do the opposite of what you want it to.

i understand that i only feed her oatmeal once a day the rest is formula

i cant i tried for to months on just breast and pump it never came

Perhaps you could try a formula specified for smaller babies? I've only breastfed my babies so I'm not sure what kind of formula that would be but surely the pedi has suggested something?

shes on a really high calorie one has gained 3 lbs on it in 2 months but i dont know what there expecting shes gaining just not like hes wanting

I started my daughter on cereal at 4 months and she's growing like she should. She's tried oatmeal but isn't a big fan. Good luck!
