I have no idea what is normal--my girls didn't eat a whole lot at this age, but my son seems to eat A TON! He just ate an entire peanut butter and jelly sandwich, 2 string cheese and about 1/3 cup of grapes. He was just now trying to get his sister's sandwich :? That seems like a lot for a 14 month old in one sitting!?

Holy cow! Yes that's a lot lol, dd just recently started eating more since I stopped Nursing during the day. She's just about 2 and your ds probably just ate more than we would in a day ll

Sounds normal. At 14 months old my nephew had 3 meals a day, 2 snacks and quite a bit of milk and water.

All of my kids eat differently. My youngest is a food vortex though. He's skinny (under 25%), but he's also tall and the food doesn't seem to stick at all. I just normally give him small snacks all of the time. If I don't give him small snacks, he finds old cheerios, etc. He will also eat huge meals at meal time. I'm still waiting for it to slow down, but so far it hasn't and he's almost 2.

It's possible. I mean I don't have any experience with girls, so I'm the wrong one to ask about that. :D My middle son picks at food though. He'll take a bite or 2 of something and that will be it for the day. My oldest who is 5 is going through a growth spurt or something and he ate more than I did for dinner the other night and kept asking if he could have more if he finished.

Eventually he told me he wanted to save what was left for a snack later. lol At this rate, I'm going to have to invest in chickens for the backyard and/or maybe a dairy cow. I bet our neighbors would love that.

thats a small meal for my 15 month old lol

He eats...a shit ton.

For breakfast he has a banana, 2 pancakes and half of my poptart plus 2 cups of almond milk.
lunch its whatever they have at daycare.
Dinner tonight is mashed potatoes, macaroni, greenbeans and shortribs and ill guarantee hes going to demolish that.

My 14 month old eats very good and a lot, always has. She has 3 full meals a day including snacks inbetween. She has 2 packets of oatmeal for breakfast with a cup of juice or milk, lunch time she has some veggies, mac n cheese with some sort of meat along with a cup of water, and then dinner she eats what ever i cook that night. She only weighs 22lbs

If she isn't cutting a tooth, DD can throw down. Lol. She can eat more than half an adult size portion of food at every meal. If she IS cutting a tooth, she drinks more milk and eats less solids.

That is how DS#2 is. Hes 17 months old and he eats more than his 4 & 5 year old siblings do. I attribute it to the fact that they do a lot more growth and development at this age. Their bodies need more fuel!
