My son is 9 weeks old and he HATES his carseat. Actually that's an understatement. From the moment he goes in he screams. Sometimes he will calm down once you pick up the seat, but the majority of the time he will just scream until he tires himself out.
I cannot stand letting him cry like that, but most of the time I don't have the option of pulling over and getting him out and if I did he would just start up again when he had to go back in it.
I always make sure he is fed and burped and wearing a dry diaper before he goes in. I double and triple check that he is positioned in it right and that the straps are snug (pinch test), but not snug enough to hurt him. He usually wont take his paci in the car.
Is there anything I can do to make going in the car less stressful for him (and me!)?
Its not supposed to be used while the car is moving but we used the little bar with spinning toys that connects to the handle. Lo loved it.
try putting a shirt back there with him that has your scent on it?
