I can not believe this just happened.
My 17 month old went in his room and shut the door. I didn't think anything of it. 10 minutes pass and he's being awfully quiet so I go in to check on him to find him smearing poop EVERYWHERE. He shit on the carpet and smeared it EVERYWHERE.
Yeah... toddlers do that... its normal... but he ATE IT. He effing ATE IT.
Is he going to get sick? I gave him a shower and then had him soak in the tub afterwards and made him drink some water... but I'm so grossed out right now. gdungibdninidfgdf
He probably didn't eat much of so hell be fine. Both of my boys did this a couple times and they never got sick from it.
he will live lol. mine does that too
Sorry, I laughed...but I've had that happen with DS when he was about that age. He pulled the poo out of his diaper, smeared it all over and then put it in his mouth. Then he came into the room I was in freaking out wanting me to get the poop out of his mouth. The look on his face was priceless. He was fine though, no long lasting damage.
mine threw shit on my head a week ago. im like fine no more independant play for you
I never had to deal with this with either of my older kids. They were all super-easy to potty train. I put this LO in undies today thinking I'd just offer the potty every half hour or so.. he'd just peed so I thought he would be fine playing by himself for a bit... no.... NO... no he was not fine.
I don't even know if the resolve worked. I sprayed the carpet with resolve... let it soak... scrubbed the crap out of it (literally) with a sponge brush thing.... then sprayed the carpet again.. Im afraid it's like... seeped in where you can't see it. God I wish we didn't have any carpets. I am so grossed out right now.

Ewwww. :shock: I always hear these stories, I am glad neither of my kids haven't done this stuff :shock:
Luckily my son has never so much as touched his own poop
He hates having dirty hands
My 20 month old made a nice poop mess in the living room the other day, luckily we have hardwood and not carpet so it wasn't that hard to clean up. She didn't eat any though... I found her once with shit on her face but it was just on her cheek so I don't think she ate it then either. Thank god.. If I found that I would f**king puke everywhere.. my stomach is so sensitive lol

Better knock on wood!! :twisted::D
hahahhaa sorry I can't contain my laughter! actually laughed out loud reading this anecdote! save stories like this to tell him at a later age!
Mine used to poop, stick his hands down his pants and then suck his thumb. We started making him live in button down onesies and zipper pajamas for a couple months. Long enough to break the habit and at night for a lot longer.
He'll be okay. He might get an upset stomach. And resolve is okay for now. When it dries sprinkle with baking soda and let it dry, then vacuum it up. It's an odor eliminator. If you can, I might even consider renting a carpet cleaner and doing his room. Just because poop residue in the carpet grosses me out.

Bahaha. My oldest is almost 5 and grossed out by poop. My youngest stuck her hands in her diaper and then came to me to tell me she pooped. No painting... Now she is almost completely potty trained at 19 months, I think I might be in the clear.

When my husband gets home im going to make him go rent one. It looks and smells fine... but it is creeping me out.
