I can understand if they are identical how they could not have seen them. One can hide behind the other. But being fraternal and all having separate sacs makes it kinda hard to believe. I would start going to a different doctor and hospital because if you are truly having triplets then they are all morons.

Why weren't they checking the heartbeat at every appointment? I'm on my third pregnancy and they ALWAYS checked the heartbeat at every appointment. Triplets aren't something they would have missed until 20weeks...

!!!!
I would be finding a new doctor for sure if they really missed it until now.

So, are you calling her a liar?

I didn't have a HB check at every appointment, especially in the first trimester.

Why did you jump to conclusions and assume ? I made the same exact point on the first page and I sure as hell wasn't calling her a liar. This lady is already in her 2nd trimester and has already had an ultrasound. It'd be kinda hard to miss triplets!

I am not jumping to conclusions, I was asking because of the impression I got from what she said.

I don't see how you got that impression at all......She mentioned something about herself and her pregnancies and it kinda hard to miss 3 beating hearts.....ALL of us have said the exact same thing in different wording so why not question the rest of us as well.......

It all depends. I mean they might of seen one and just stopped looking. All my first ultrasound where pretty quick once the found the baby. Though I always make them double check for multiples because they run in both sides of my family. And I know someone who had twins and they didn't see the second one in any of her ultrasounds. Including the one where she found out the sex. There could have been plenty of reasons they missed it.

Because she had already posted pictures to prove it and she is still being questioned. Why does it matter who I question?

:!::!::!: Yep, it's pretty unbelievable I'll admit but it's not entirely impossible either. Stranger things have been known to happen. I know plenty of people who had a hidden twin till 20 weeks so to me it's not that much more of a stretch they could miss a third as well.

If your doctor wasn't checking HB at every appointment ESPECIALLY in the first trimester I certainly wouldn't use them again. Nowhere did I say she was lying.

What I'm wondering is about her baby belly. A normal twin pregnancy would be measuring about 40 weeks at this point in their pregnancy. Triplets would be even bigger. I mean they must have done a fundal height check at some point. That wouldn't be just 'a little' off. That would be a HUGE difference from where she should have been.

I mean either her OB seriously screwed up .. or something else... :) Also, at 10 weeks, there would have been 3 sacs. It just seems like to me that a lot of people would have had to mess up big time in order for this story to be possible.

Well it's possible cause it happened to me. After the 10 week sono which only found one... I have that pic too that only shows one, I went back 4 weeks later at 14 weeks and then they did that heart beat Doppler thing and had a hard time finding it and they found it down by my under belly ... then went back 4 weeks later and they found the heart beat roughly same spot just alot easier.... knowing now that's where my boy was this whole time....then went 2 weeks later to a imaging place cause my ob don't do anatomy scans (which was the other day) and that's where they found 3. 2 girls up top and my boy down bottom. They have their own sacs and placentas.. each right on point weighing 12 oz and measuring 20 weeks and 3 days to be exact... I admit I have never heard of this and I have never even heard of some one having triplets in my town ( from and live in a small town on eastern shore) ... I will say im relived to know I'm just not bloated and pregnant and when people say " Damn there must be 3" I can say " nope 3"! Lol I was 220 lbs if that makes a difference with any thing
