How long did it take you to conceive after paragard removal? I removed mine myself last night while I was on my period. I am hoping to have a Oct Nov or Dec baby :)

If you are wanting an October, November, or December baby, why did you take it out so early?

I figured it would take a awhile? I mean it doesn't matter to me that bad, I was just not trying to be big in the summer again like I was my first

Seems like you should have waited until January or so to take it out. If you get pregnant anytime soon you will be due in the middle of summer lol. I thought that Paragard was hormone free, right? So I would assume you'd ovulate on your next cycle. I would be wrong though, I never had an IUD. Also, are you supposed to remove it yourself? Ouch.

I know it is non hormonal, I just was looking for other peoples advice that had it and had it removed. I guess I shouldn't have put it like I wouldn't be happy with whenever I got pregnant. I just figured you have to wait a few cycles for the lining to build up. Correct me if I am wrong...

yes, the pain I was having I couldn't deal with it anymore! The bleeding was so heavy I would fill a super plus tampon in less than an hour. I had it for over 2 years and before that I had the Mirena. My doctor couldn't get me in until next month and I would have had to pay a few hundred dollars lol so I read up online of people that took them out themselves.

Had mirena removed July 2 got my period July 29 through aug 5 and I'm now almost 7 weeks pregnant! It can happen quicker then you think. We were ttc too and thought it would take longer lol

I had mine taken out July '12. We conceived in December and I miscarried. We haven't conceived again.

Well, we weren't ttcing but I had to have mine removed due to bleeding issues and since it had been my last option for bc(I have health issues and can't take hormonal bc) we were using just condoms and spermicide strips. I had it removed February 5th and found out I was pregnant March 1st. I am now 31 weeks(measuring out at 32.2 weeks though) as of today with a very healthy and active little boy.
