Fetal Doppler Denaylynne Due April 2; 1 child; Roseville, 5 posts15th Sep
I am 11 weeks pregnant and I tried using my home fetal doppler. I tried for 30 minutes and couldn't find a heartbeat. In the last year I have suffered from 2 miscarriages and thought using the doppler would ease my worry. Now I think that I am probably going to miscarry again because there was no heartbeat. Should I be worried or is it still too soon to heart a heartbeat. Please help!

It is still very early and I'm telling you this from experience, I also have a fetal doppler and was going through the same torment you are now, I was watching videos of women finding the HB at like 9 weeks and it was so discouraging I could never find it, I FINALLY found out a little after I turned 12 weeks but that was with trying twice everyday, and then I went to my OB appt a few days after that and the nurse couldn't find it, I know its hard to believe but they are so tiny still then they have so much room to move around do not stress you will be fine! I'm 20 weeks and still have days I can't find the little brat:wink:

I don't think most at home fetal dopplers detect a heartbeat that early. I could be wrong though, but that's what I've researched.

I couldn't find the heartbeat on my Sonoline until after 13 weeks. I wouldn't worry about it. I had a miscarriage before this pregnancy so I understand the concern. Are you putting enough gel on? Looking low enough?

when i was 11 weeks with my second, i went to ER, due to a ton of braxton hick's contractions (even they couldn't understand why i was contracting so early) anyway they couldn't find the heartbeat so i was immediately sent to ultrasound, everything was fine! could just be too early! i did have ptl 3 times during the pregnancy, and incompetent cervix, now i'm wondering if it was all related hmmmmm.

Went to the Dr and found a strong healthy heartbeat! I'm getting rid of the home Doppler it only causes more stress.
