I was on 75 mg of zoloft for anxiety and I am trying to conceive, so this whole week I have gone down to 50 mg and once a week I plan on going down another 25 mg until I am off :) I hope it goes smooth, so far so good! What tips have you found helpful for coping with anxiety, if you have any advice I would greatly appreciate it .

Honestly? Weed. But that's not a good option for everyone.

I'm pregnant and still on 50mg. Tried to wean off while TTC, couldn't do it. I'll be on it for life, I think. :?

I plan on restarting my Celexa shortly after this baby is born. I hate saying I need a pill to make me happy... but it's true.

I'm sorry I have no advice about weaning off of it. But I have a question. I'm going back to my Dr. on Wed. talk about another medication for my horrible anxiety. How did the Zoloft work for your anxiety? Any bad side effects?

I feel pathetic, having to rely on a pill to function. I tried to wean off, I really did, but I became a monster. I was so irritable, upset, thought about suicide, thought about... awful things. I mean, I've been on it for 10 years now, so it's no wonder. I'm fully addicted.

My husband just got off an anti depressant known for causing major withdraw issues. He used st John's wort, SAMe, dhea or something and lots of fish oil and b12 And other vitamins and feels he doesn't need drugs anymore.

I have a friend that went the same route, but I'm not sure of what's in her 'cocktail.' I believe she was on celexa

It worked great for me honestly :) I am nervous to get off it. At first only side effects were this weird metal taste in my mouth and it felt like my head was spinning the first few days, but within a week or two it really started to help and by the end of six weeks I felt wonderful

If it comes down to it and I absolutely need it, I will definitely take it :) I have been on it for about a year now, and I heard something about the chemistry of your brain changing after 9 months or so on a SSRI. So we shall see..

You shouldn't though, being so depressed is way more harmful in my opinion because I have been there and done that. This is way more healthier for you and the baby being on medication and not being stressed out! If I find it doesn't work for me quitting, I will have no other option but to take it because when the benefits out weigh the risks its something that has to be done.

I believe it is a class B medication, where as zoloft it a class C so I will definitely have to look into it if I for some reason can't deal with the weaning. Thank you so much
