i had a c section 4 weeks ago and just wondered when can you start having sex again, is it the same time as a normal birth or any longer/less? id hate to just go ahead if anything can happen, my bleeding went bright red and started losing clots at weekend and ended up going to a&e but they weren't really concerned about it, only concerned about my open(now infected) wound and just said if it didn't calm down in 7 days go to the doctor and it could be due to the implant i had put in. well the next day it went back to white with only a few streaks of orange/pink then went fully white and its stayed like that, do you think it would be ok or shall i continue to wait?
You're supposed to wait just as long as with a vaginal delivery because the risk is not to your vagina, it's to the inside. You have a huge gaping wound inside of you where the baby was attached and tha is still healing. It can daily get inflected and since you've already dealt with an infection I doubt you want to do it again.. Just wait until your doctor gives you the go ahead.
You are supposed to wait til after your 6week post partum check up and for the drs ok
It's the same 6 weeks. But if you have an infection you should be holding off. I had sex 6 days pp with my son (and it was ah-fucking-mazing) but everyone on here says how stupid that was.
wait untill your 6week check up and ask about it. x
Depends on when the doctor gives the okay. I waited 6 weeks with my first, I was given the okay at 4 weeks pp with my second so we did and I waited 6 weeks with my third.
wait until the doctor okay's it. you just had major surgery. don't be n idiot.
With a csection and infection I'd at the very least wait until you'd been seen by a doctor.
I waited 2 weeks after my c section to have sex. After having the baby it was like my husband and I were teenagers again lol kissing was Intense there was No way I could have waited 6 weeks. My incision wasnt closed completely until about 5 weeks pp, but It wasn't infected. If your already infected I would DEFINITELY wait till that goes away first! Good luck :)
