Thank you SO for telling me that there was going to be an inspection on the building today! :? I came home inbetween shifts and since I haven't been feeling good I was just lounging around the house in my underwear and a shirt.
Then there's a knock at the door and it's the guy that's buying out the buildings saying they are here to inspect all the apartments :x
So here I am rushing around my apartment while they check out all the other ones trying to clean everything up.
My house wasn't THAT messy but the cat box needs to be cleaned and there is a ton of laundry that needs to be folded, oh and the dishes and I need to vaccum. :x
f**k! Thanks SO. :?

I think it's just because my landlord is selling her building. I'm pretty sure they are buying out all of the building and are planning to fix them all up (thank god!).

Our apartment got inspected yearly both places we rented. They had to make sure our landlord had stuff up to code and such.

Yeah it's normal. Well, I know that they do inspections if you're in a gov't paid apartment.

That sucks. Once my apartment came on the wrong day (it was a misunderstanding and they were nice) but I was TOTALLY not prepared to have people come in, haha. The kids were mostly naked and eating (which means covered in food), and I was all half put together, and we still had all the stuff out from paints.

Ah well, that's what sucks about renting, huh?

Yep, it is.

My apartment does them every 6 months. They don't go through peoples stuff, but they want to look for leaks or any problems that need to be fixed that the renter either didn't see or didn't mention. They always give notice, but it still sucks.

I'm really hoping that when they start cleaning up the apartements that they put in new windows. The ones we have now are so old and thin and half of them aren't even real glass :?

We have a yearly inspection, and random inspections from the state.

Ours are next week
