I honestly don't know the details. I know that my OB is against circumcising, but felt that it was the only option at that point. About five minutes following the procedure the swelling began to go down a little. Within 30 minutes they were able to urinate. My baby still has quite a bit of foreskin but it isn't closed off. I don't know that I would have had them circumcised otherwise. We had to do what was recommended to get them urinating. That did it for them. :)

Thank you for the link. I think some of those facts might sway DH a bit.

I've heard they don't get anything to numb the area during the procedure. Knowing that it's actually true makes me feel sick. :?

That's my goal, but he seems to have made up his mind to circumcise based on "medical information" that is at least 30 years old. :? He needs to realize what his parents were supposedly told is no longer accurate, so I need as much information as possible to combat this. DH is also incredibly stubborn. :x

As horrible as it is, you could show him one of the many videos that they strap the baby down and use nothing but (sometimes_ a local. or sugar water.

When they gave DD a spinal at 8 weeks old, they only gave her sugar water. I wanted to take her away from them.

I could not watch something like that. The pictures are bad enough. I could probably handle it not pregnant, but I've been more emotional this time around. Stupid hormones. :x

You don't have to watch them circumcise your baby. My kids were NOT held down. They were given a small numbing shot before the procedure and did not cry at all.

Then you obviously aren't researching.
You should have said in the OP that you needed as many biased websites as possible to sway your Husband -who has a p***s- on what to do with your Son's p***s.
Then you would have gotten an ample amount of idiotic, outdated and biased shit for your cause.

However it's done it's still wrong to me. It's not just the procedure but the fact that your taking something off that has a purpose. Not all hospitals do the same procedure there is the ring they use and cutting. Some use numbing cream some don't. There are different ways .... But you know that already.

Then why would you quote outdated youtube videos that to not depict the actual procedure this day and age? It's silly. People would take you more seriously if you'd tone down the biased crazy and actually present facts without throwing your incorrect opinion and beliefs in the matter.
