Sleep pattern change Shelby Chappell Due November 29; 1 child; Alberta 1575 posts

So my DS is almost one (yay) and lately his sleep pattern has gone down the pooper. He has been sleeping through the nights since like..3,4 months? Now he is waking up at 1 or 4 and being up for a good 2 and a half hours before going back to sleep. He doesn't seem to be teething atm. We have had a bit of a change at home though. My MIL had to move in with us for a bit so his crib is now in our room. It's been I want to say almost 2 weeks since she moved in. Could the change in sleep habits just be due to the change in whats going on around here? How long can it take to get back to his old sleep habits or am I just SOL and need to accept the fact that its just going to be like this now? My MIL is moving in a month so his crib will be going back to his old room so I hope that wont screw up his sleeping even more.

DS has sleep pattern changes. Around one he started waking up randomly. He started to realize if he woke up and cried, we would come in and see him. We just let him CIO for 10 minutes and he put himself back to sleep. We stopped going in to see him and so he started sleeping through the night again.

We also had to start giving him two naps. Once he started moving more and walking, he started to get tired more quickly. I think sleep patterns changing is normal. You just have to find a new routine that works for your LO.
