Im only 10w pregnant, but I would like to know ahead of time. I plan to BF this baby, but want paragard. I was told that they insert with your first PP period, but I also see a lot of women who don't get theirs due to BF. Will they still insert my BC.

This is my question in case they DONT tie my tubes. Thanks ladies.

Okay, the last BC I was on was the pill. So I was uncertain as to if they would or wouldn't. Thank you. I'm definitely happy for that. We are 110% sure we do not want a third child. :)

My doctor would insert it after 10 weeks. I got my first period at 7 though.

Paraguard is probably your best choice then . Most drs wont tie your tubes after only 2 children unless you are over a certain age (have you checked the requirements for your state?)

I have not. Every doctor around here is honestly different. One dr asked my cousin, who had two children she's 20. She said no, another dr told my friend no, she's 22 and has two babies. So it varies from dr to dr around here. I'll be 21 when our second arrives, which I know is young. Another dr said 26 and three kids. I don't want three kids, DH doesn't want more than two either. Bleh. I thin it should be every women's choice..

I understand your frustration but people change their mind all the time. Paraguard is good for up to ten years and is way less invasive than a tubal ligation surgery .... Of course If you are so totally sure than let your dh get snipped. Dr don't usually have specific requirements for that procedure.

I've been trying. He acts like it's taking his manhood or something :? I'll be talking to him about it, again though when he comes home from drills.
