I went to my first ob/gyn appt at around 12 weeks (I'm now 16 weeks 1 day; 4th pregnancy, 2 live, 1 mmc) When they did my pap, they "couldn't find my cervix"? So a more experienced doctor came to check, & said my uterus is tilted. She said my cervix is facing my back ( & should be at a 45
My uterus is tilted backwards with this pregnancy. My OB said I'd probably have more back pain (so far, true), and I'll probably have a lot of back pain with labor.
Well that would explain all the pressure on my back and backaches. i didn't think they should be this bad already! I had some back labor with my youngest, but felt more like on my tailbone and thighs up by my groins. Very weird. but still NOT enjoyable, so thank god i have miracle fast labor & deliveries LOL
I had a tilted uterus with my son and it caused problems with the internal us, back pain and all i had was back labor
yeah the stuff already mentioned, but I don't think it will cause any complications or need for a c-section. My doc said the pregnancy may straighten it, but I dunno if it did with all the back pain and back labor.
Well here's to hoping it just fixes itself i suppose. A little info from the doc on the matter would have been nice! Lol
I have a tilted uterus this pregnancy and so far the only issue I have is I don't feel baby too much. He/She is always facing my back, so all the movement and kicks are toward my ass lol. Oh and I'm 22wks. Idk how giving birth goes being that this will be a scheduled c-section.
Aww bummer, kicks to the back and butt are killer! that's gonna suck if i can't feel jellybean much :( this will be my last pregnancu :(

Same here. But if I ever wanna feel he/she move, I lay on my stomach and that gets baby upset and moving lol
My uterus is tilted backward, both pregnancies haha. Both OBs said it always will be. I haven't had any issues with it. My mom's was with all 6 of her kids and it didn't give her a problem either lol, just more back pain
Its just so weird its never happened before and even at checks at 5 &8 weeks my uterus was fine & in that month it all changed lol

I wasn't told til like 17wks. I was uhhh, seriously? lol
It does, in my experience (and my mom's actually - we were talking about it because of this thread) make for more painful/uncomfortable cervical checks and whatnot. But no one's checking my cervix this time around so it's cool :P
I guess i should be happy i had the heads up at 12wks then! Geeze! Lol. Yes this little problem makes cervical checks HORRIBLE. I know if it doesn't fix itself they're not checking me during labor! Haha they can jusy come in when the babys almost out lol thats what happened with my youngest (neglectful staff) & it honestly helped my pain management because i didn't know my progress past the 3cm & 79% i was when i went in. i was breathing through "the early stages" & bam he was coming!
I have a tilted uteus as well. tho there is a small slightly elevated risk for.miscarriage the problem usually corrcts itself by i think 12-16 weeks when the uterus grows larger and up out of the pelvis
