Simple poll. Which do you recommend?

I know breast is best, however due to past personal issues I will not be breastfeeding.

I couldn't vote. I recommend which ever works for the kid. You won't know until he/she is here. Some kids can only drink one brand, some can only drink the other, some need special formulas, and some don't care at all and will drink anything

You dont know what will be best for baby, formula isn't something you can stick up on.

Personally, though, I use enfamil and I also use target brand.

Also, just throwing this out there, get as many samples as you can of different formula. That way baby can try it out before you commit to buying a larger quantity

I just asked "Which do you recommend". I know every baby is different. I will get WIC here and they let you choose which brand you want. I know it is a high possiblity it will change on what the baby needs. However, The hospital where I am at does not supply anything for you and the baby. So I have to take my own formula. I was just trying to get an idea and what people recommend.

I personally like Similac, my LO is on the sensitive kind, he has reflux & it does make things a little better.

I actually used the Sams club brand. It's like $20 for a huge container. I know you said you were getting wic but if you need to buy some, look into that one. I think it's comparable to similac.

It would take over 2 weeks to go thru one of those instead of the 4 days it took to go thru a similac container. The money we saved in diapers and formula more than made up for the money we spent on the membership

I agree with this plus if you use similac or gerber its cheaper to buy it at sam's club plus they have a nine hundred count of wipes "store brand" for about 16 dollars where I live at

Our only issue with that is that we live on an island off Portugal. We are very limited on what we get. I am military so I have to get what is at the BX or Comissary. However, I could always have someone to ship it to me but our mail really only comes once a week.

Similac is known to be a lot more gentle on the tummy, but store brand works just as well. I'd get some Similac nursettes for while you're in the hospital. When ya get home if he/she can take most anything, switch to generic of that type of formula.

You never truly know until your baby lets you know. We went through six different kinds until we settled on Enfamil Gentlease. my daughter I tried three different kinds and only settled good with the walmart brand that is like $13 a can.

when i was pregnant i joined the similac club online and they send you a few free samples of things and lots of coupons for $5-$10 off for certain products. They will keep coming in the mail up until a certain point I imagine...I am still receiving coupons 8 months later. I ended up breastfeeding though lol.
