The daycare I worked at had cameras. It would be annoying at times. We had one mom who would call the second her DS cried (not was hurt or anything, he didn't do well with transitions so when we moved from one activity to the next he would cry for a minute). My boss would just explain he is in good hands since they had to route it through the front office.

I was telling SO that I would hate working there with the cameras for that very reason, but as a parent I really enjoy it. I can see when he is napping, and if he is interacting with the other kids. It is just really comforting to be able to pull out my phone and see what he is up to.

I had nothing to hide, I didn't care if they watched all day. But the one mom would call and ask to be patched through to my room. My boss would decline since it was an unnecessary interruption to what we were doing. She had all the screens up on her computer screen so she could see what we were doing.
