This is mainly just for my own curiosity and statistical purposes. You don't have to explain why you're receiving assistance or anything. Completely anonymous! The poll includes ANY and ALL types of government funded assistance for you and/or your family.

Yes for right now we receive WIC and Childcare assistance. I'm hoping by this time next year though to not need any assistance.

I recently applied for daycare assistance. Full day kindergarten is only offered here if paid for. $720 a month is hard to manage in my salary.
I also applied for Medicare, because I can't afford $200 a month through my job to insure my son and myself.

Unfortunetly a new hair stylist doesn't make much money until she has established a clientele.

To to answer your question though, no.

I get medical, food and cash(they pay landlord directly). I'm hoping to be off all of it before christmas. We have had a hard time since we moved back up here. The guaranteed job my bf had turned out to be a dud and I found out I was prego. We found a place in the city were hoping we get so I'll be able to get a job (bf has a job already)

How are you able to get cash assistance if he has a job? Honestly curious. And what part of FL?

Depends on how far below the poverty line they are with his job vs the size if their household.

I will be on just WIC once the baby is born because the price of formula is outrageous.

Here even if you make 50k a year, you are on some type of assistance.

However i tried to get medicaid and was denied. So paying 250 a week is my other option. I really wished I lived in like Kentucky or something.

I'm in Canada so things are a bit different. I went on Welfare after I had my sons at 17, I was living at home and they gave me 70 bucks a month for twins. Yea... that did not last. Never went back.
