My sister in laws wedding was yesterday, I drank a lot but I wasn't throwing up or anything. I'm not on BC and this morning I felt like absolute shit and I'm throwing up that yellow foam that I always threw up when I was pregnant. Now I'm freaking out because what if I'm pregnant and was drinking. I can't be more than 1 month.

Maybe you just have a hangover.

Maybe its just a hangover. And I drank the day before I found out I was pregnant. And I didn't find out until I was 9 weeks.

If you're that freaked out, why don't you take a pregnancy test? It should show up by now if you are one month pregnant. If you find out you are just head to your OB's office and schedule an appointment. Tell him/her what happened but I guarantee you they're going to tell you not to stress about it. Not much that can be done now.

It's not your fault since you didn't know you were pregnant. It happens. When I was pregnant with my first, I was a month in and had no idea I was preggo, I ended up going to a party and drank. After I found out I was expecting I felt horrible. I told my midwife about it & she just told me not to worry and stress about it since I didn't know & since there wasn't much that could be done now. My daughter was born healthy. From what everyone said though it could just possibly be a hangover.

With my oldest son, I had a lot to drink before finding out I'm pregnant and he's just fine - in fact, he has just skipped kindergarten altogether and is now in the first grade because he's so ahead of his time and smarter than all of the kids. In fact, they'd move him into the 2nd grade if he weren't 5. I wouldn't worry - if you're pregnant, just don't drink, and if you think you are as you stated, don't drink anymore until it's confirmed yes or no. Good luck!

I drank pretty moderately in the first week or so of my pregnancy with my oldest because I didn't know I was pregnant. My midwife told me it's not a huge deal that early in pregnancy, obviously if you know you're pregnant don't drink but if you don't know your body does a decent job of protecting the fetus. Drinking excessively later in pregnancy is what typically causes fetal alcohol syndrome.

I know a few women who have a glass of wine here and there during pregnancy with the blessing of their doctor. My midwife told me to drink a glass of wine one time to take the edge off of my early labor. I chose not to but still she advised it.

I was told by my OB that before the placenta forms, not many substances can cross to the fetus.
I got really drunk about 4 days before I found out I was pregnant. DS is perfectly healthy.
I'm sure, if you are pregnant, everything will be fine. Good luck!

Just to add to your peace of mind- I also drank, before I discovered I was expecting.. I mean, party-drinking. I'm now 30 weeks along, and my baby looks extremely healthy. To be honest, I don't know of many adults who abstained from drinking, before they discovered they were actually pregnant.. Seems like everyone has the same story. Just relax, and avoid alcohol from here out, until you know for certain.

Yeah kind of like thinking you're pregnant because you drank the night before and threw up in the morning.
