When did becoming a nurse become frowned upon if you're a young parent?

I've never heard this ever...

I went thru school with several young mothers, they were inspiring to most of us.

I was scrolling through some post and saw a few girls getting ragged on for wanting to be nurses. I think nursing is a great choice I'm not 100% sure exactly what kind of nursing I would like to do but I know no matter what I do I will need to be an RN

It takes a lot of time and dedication, and sacrifices to get your degree, and maybe people frown upon you leaving your kids so much… but it's a better life $$ wise for your kids

It's not a bad thing at all. I wouldn't let anyone get down. I'm young (20) and going to college to be a nurse. I currently work as a CNA.
