Hello! My name is Emily and on Friday, November 29th I found out that I am pregnant. I had not been trying for I am still young and unmarried, but I am very ecstatic and I have joined this site for a great support group and to help me figure this whole pregnancy thing out!
I have not seen Aunt Flo since the beginning of August and though I took tests every 4 weeks they would all come back negative. I thought it was just my birth control acting up and that's why I had not seen her. On that Friday morning I woke up with a gut feeling (and nausea) that I needed to take a test and within seconds it turned positive. But one test wasn't enough I had to get more and they all turned out positive too. I won't lie those first hours I was freaking out and mostly about my loved ones reaction but as soon as I told my boyfriend of almost 3 years I felt better because he was actually sort of excited. We are both way under-prepared for this but we are willing to do whatever it takes to make this work out for our little angel.
We have lived together for almost 2 years now at my parents house. I still have not told my parents about the pregnancy and I plan on waiting until after my doctors appointment so I know exactly how far along I am, considering I went a while without a period.
Please send sticky dust, love, and support my way! I look forward to meeting new friends on here.
Congrats! I remember like it was yesterday when I got my BFP. Even though I'm stable and 26, it was extremely scary. It was definitely unplanned and I wasn't excited for a while. I worried about the same things, families reactions and not being prepared. Especially since my now fiancé and I had only been dating a short while. However, my family has been amazingly supportive, my fiancé is ecstatic and I can't wait for our little boy to get here! Everything will work out for the best and even if you have some negative people, just remember that it's your life and you know what's best for you and your little one. Don't ever let any of them get you down. Good luck! :)
Congratulations and good luck!
Welcome :) congrats in your baby! I know it's scary, and hard, but it is the most amazing experience ever! :)
Congrats! I found out Friday as well :) We have an August DD buddy group if you would like to join other mamas due in August like yourself!
So your due in May? Wow you didn't find out for that long! That's crazy but kinda cool!
