I started miscarrying two weeks ago. I was 6 weeks. I stopped bleeding 4 days ago. I want to start TTC again. My pregnancy tests are still positive, but faint. Will I still ovulate? Would I be able to use OPKs to determine if I'm ovulating? Or should I have started to BD right after bleeding stopped? Thanks!

You won't ovulate until the hcg is 0..which can take a couple weeks! Opks will be positive if you still have hcg in your system to hold off on those. I just had a miscarriage too, I'm sorry mama

What did your doctor advise you? Mine told me to wait one full cycle.

ETA: your levels have to reach 0 first.

It can happen. I found out 08/02/12 I was pregnant lost it on 08-07/12 at 6 weeks and quit bleeding 3-4 days later and tested positive on 09/02/12 and lost it in October at 8 weeks along give your body a few months it's just as hard if not harder the second go round. GL to you. I never conceived aging with my now ex husband it just wasn't meant with me and him. We divorced and I'm now re married and currently 27 weeks along with a boy so don't rush and Itll happen. GL

See my dr said I can start trying asap. They said its easier to do after a cycle for dating purposes. I also made sure if I did that it wouldn't affect a new pregnancy. She said definitely not. So I guess I'll just keep trying until its negative then start opks. Thanks!

There's no medical reason to wait a cycle and it' is usually only suggested for dating reasons.

OP: It can take a while for your tests to go negative and you won't ovulate until you do. But you might ovulate EARLY once your levels reach 0

I started bleeding again yesterday. Thinking there might have been something left over I went to my OB. She thinks it might be my first period. But to be sure she is ordering quants for Monday and again Friday. Plus an u/s Monday as well. She wasn't happy that the other lady I saw didn't do a follow up. I knew that didn't seem right! I really hope it is a period!

Don't be alarmed if you clot. I clotted my first period after my D&C. It's normal.

Ok good. I was worried thinking there was still something left because the blood was its very clotty and slimy.

Had an u/s this morning. Definitely my period. My right ovary is also getting ready to burst out an egg. So she said I better get bd'ing! That's crazy. You were right squid, about ovulating early.
