I am 99% sure I have low progesterone, and high cortisol levels (fight or flight response hormone). Both of those together can cause infertility (basically, I'm so stressed out living with my mother that I've stopped ovulating). We are moving out of my mom's place in less than 2 weeks! Woo!
When we got married (August '11), we lived with my mom for about 5 months. We never prevented, and we actively tried to get pregnant with no luck. We moved out in January '12 and I got pregnant my first cycle of not living with my mother.
My question is this: Do you think it will happen that way again; move out of the stressful place, get pregnant first try of living on our own? We've lived with my mom (this time) for about a year, so it's double the amount of time we were living with her last time....
I know that not many (if any) of you are doctors or medical professionals, but if you have any experience in this sort of situation, please share with me! :)
No. Especially if you have low progesterone. You'd have to get supplements to take 3-4 days after ovulation to sustain a pregnancy. Otherwise, the shots work well. Without that, if you do in fact have low progesterone, I don't think it will happen on the first cycle.
By leaving the stressful environment it can definitely help both of you but look into ways to raising your hormones.
