1st birthday cake question ι♡яคч 1 child; Hollywood, fl, United States 3427 posts

This is my first & only child so I'm wondering if there is a special way I'm supposed to have his "personal cake" made or do i just have it made the same as his birthday cake? I'm asking because i know some babies are allergic to eggs & i was also wondering if i had to get it sugar free or what?

TIA

I've always just ordered a regular smash cake.

I got banana cake with non dairy frosting. And decorated to match the theme.

I made cupcakes for all the guests and made DS a normal chocolate cake with chocolate fudge filling and frosting. Didn't do anything about the sugar or eggs, he's not allergic to eggs and the sugar, well, it was his birthday!! It's not like I feed him cake everyday

I made homemade cupcakes a week or two before my daughter's birthday to make sure she wasn't allergic or anything. Everything came out fine and then she killed her smash cake lol

Okay thanks ladies, i have no idea if he's allergic to eggs or not i still haven't given him any. I just have a big fear with it because my best friends baby girl almost died due to an egg allergy.

I'm not good at decorating cakes so i usually order them from the albertsons bakery. They always included the smash cake for free.they usually don't add flavor unless you want them too.his was white with white butter cream frosting.

With my first 2 I ordered their cakes from Walmart and they will let you have a smash cake for a penny with it lol. With my youngest I ordered from someone I know who makes cakes and she just made a separate little cake with it. I never tested allergies, they had already ate eggs by their first birthday and like someone else mentioned it's their birthdays let them have some sugar Tongue

I made a small cake, kept it mostly plain, and made a smiley face on top. All that sugar is not good for a little baby tummy.
