Mine was elective for personal reasons... It sucked until I got my epidural. I didn't feel the contractions for a long time, but when they hit it hurt like hell. Pit was started at 10:30 and I had him at 5:26 pm...not too bad. It was easier than my first

did they keep you until you had her?

and so once they start it they have to keep you until baby comes?

I was induced because I was overdue and having contractions but not making progress. The contractions just felt like period cramps to me. I always bad rough periods so they weren't terrible. By the time they got steady and close together I'd had an epidural so I didn't feel them....or anything below my face, ha. It wasn't bad. Just took damn forever. They started pitocin around 7 or 8 am, I don't remember. But she was born at 9:46 pm. They told me that if I wasn't able to push by 9:30 they wanted to send me for a c-section since there was meconium in my water. Started pushing at 9:30 lol.

They did for me. A friend of mine went to be induced and had been given cervadil but made zero progress in 24 hours so they sent her home and she went back a day or two later to try again and it worked that time. Haven't heard of that happening besides that time so I'd count on staying there.

Yeah, once they induce you your there until the baby comes & I was kept until Sunday because I ended up getting a fever of 105 during labor & an infection. With this one I'm hoping notbing happens & I don't have to be induced.

Once they start, you can't leave...

And at first it felt like period cramps, but as they got stronger it was a sharp stabbing pain in my back. But I was able to tell about 15 min in advance that I wanted the epi... So I told them as soon as I figured it out and got it just as they were getting really hard core

I was induced for excess fluid. It took 3 days to get the process started (I had 3 rounds of cervidil because I wasn't dilating) then I got Pitocin. right when i got Pitocin my contractions were immediately 2-3 mins apart. I never eased into labor. The pain was horrific, especially because they kept upping the Pitocin. Pitocin is evil in my book. after 6 hours I caved and got the epidural (I was so against it, but the pain made me lose all control.) After the epidural I progressed really fast since my body could finally relax. the pain was just so horrible before that and I never got a break in between contractions. I hope to not have to get induced again. I don't understand the ones that electively get induced.

I was induced with my first,  I was offered to go home,  I chose not to.
