well....i am nearing 40 weeks this Wednsday, we had hoped to try for v-bac this whole pregnancy. Tuesday my ob tells me they will be scheduling me a c-section when i go back in this Tuesday unless i go into labor before then, which looks like is not gonna happen : ( i have been sitting at 1cm and soft for 3 weeks now, ob says baby has not dropped much, but it sure as hell feels like it, pelvis has been hurting and worsened since 32 weeks. I've tried pressure points, fresh pineapple, sex, swinging hips...ect:  i really did not want another c-section... i dunno just sucks

Aw that sucks OP i'm sorry you're not going to able to have that experience that you want. Try to focus on it in a positive way though, Either way you will have a perfectly safe and healthy baby to cuddle and maybe this c section won't be as bad as your previous, My c section was a breeze so i really hope thats the case for you too! congrats!!

How bad is a c section, honestly? I'm debating on an elective c section to have my tubes tied. I will know more Monday. Just wondering.

Depends on the person,  really.

Both of my c-sections have been good, my second being even better than my first, up showering a lot sooner etc.

We have a floating c-section date for 42 weeks. You can always push it until then, that gives you 2 more works. Can you do acupuncture?

ob wanted to schedule it at last appt, i had pushed it further then, she had agreed to another week, i believe its because my blood pressure slowly going up the further i get along. it was at 136/91 tuesday.

Everyone's experience is different but i had my c section at 3 pm and was up walking around the hospital 8 hours later, As long as i didn't let my pain meds wear off for the first week i felt perfectly fine. Best advice is if you do have one, get up and walk around as much as possible asap! It definitely helps the recovery process and keeps you from being so sore :)

i guess my last experance wouldn't have been so bad if i hadn't had to be discharged from the hospital 26 hours after having ds to take him to childrens hospital due to them messing his circumcision up. they had just tooken out my IV's and told me to get up take a shower to then tell me they fucked up.
