I'm 8 to 9 weeks pregnant. I've been dizzy to the point I feel like I'm going to pass out. My body feels really weak to the point it gets hard to do pretty much anything. I've been cramping, mainly when I have to pee. I also have almost like burning and almost the same cramping I get when I ovulate. I'm not bleeding or anything. I had my in take appointment last week. They did a urine sample to make sure I didn't have a uti. They said there's some bacteria but nothing that needs to be treated. My doctor said I could go to the ER if the dizziness continues. I went when I was 5 weeks pregnant and they didn't find anything but prescribed me anti dizziness meds. I wasn't cramping then though.

What about going to urgent care rather than the ER?

I would go in to be checked. You could also have a UTI. Better safe than sorry. Have you had a full meal yet?

I was about to say the same thing about the sugar being low! OP, try drinking some OJ or other juice that has sugar in it before you start your day and when you start feeling dizzy, sit down and just sip on some more juice!

Its possible you have a uti. I was having some dizziness and episodes of feeling weak. My doctor said my iron levels were normal and that i should make sure i eat more regularly.

I wouldnt go to the ER. Too much flu going around. Is there no way your doctor can see you again? An urgent care might be slightly better than the er since it wont get as much traffic but still...ours usually have lines of flu people. Yuck!

This. I always needed a little snack to carry around.
Also I would go to a walk in or try making an appointment instead of going to the ER.

I wouldn't go into the ER unless you had no other choice... I wouldn't risk exposing myself to other illnesses that linger in those waiting rooms.

I'd go in to the OB's office if you could though. Call and see if they can squeeze you in. And try sipping on some OJ to see if that helps out.

My doctor was the one who said go to the ER. They're actually part of the hospital. I have to go there to get a lot of my tests done. I'm starting to think I had a cyst that ruptured. I had problems in the past where they wouldn't drain and I got infections.

If your doctor told you to go to the ER if it continued, go to the ER. None of us know what is causing your dizziness, and if it continues it should be taken lightly. Do you feel better after eating a meal, though? Are you ok now?

This! I keep Jolly Ranchers.

Sounds like you are dehydrated, OP...and possibly a UTI, too.

Sometimes I feel worse after I eat. I feel like they don't even know why I get dizzy :( it really sucks and its scary. I hate feeling like they don't believe something's wrong.

I honestly don't believe this warrants going to the ER. When I was 8 weeks pregnant I was dizzy ALL the time. I would work and feel like fainting constantly, in fact I've fainted several times (briefly) during my first trimester.

As for the cramping after urinating that is normal. It is due to your uterus putting pressure on your bladder so when you relieve yourself you cramp (my doctor told me this because I had the same problem).

It is all part of the package unfortunately. Just sleep as much as possible and make sure you get fluids in ya. Also go to your prenatal appointments they should check your urine every time.

Good luck!

Maybe you can ask for a referral to see a neurologist, just in case? I don't know. Are you taking any medications, maybe it's a side effect?

Good point especially if op is taking something on an empty stomach! Progesterone is one of those meds that gives you wicked dizziness if you arent full.
