Basically to just be healthy. I didn't do anything special to my body, not even losing weight, to TTC. For me the more important part was being prepared finacially, and emotionally.

No I am not losing weight my weight is where it should be for my height and age. And yes the financial part is why we are waiting my husband has to finish his associates. So I figured I  would use this time to get other stuff squared away.

I wasn't meaning to imply you were trying to lose weight. That is just something I see people say even when they don't need to. :) Well after your dental work if you are healthy then physically you probably are all set.

A healthy diet is something that both you and DH should work on this year so that it can carry on after a baby arrives, it's really important to have a unified front in everything (I'm sure you know that) and that includes diet. If just one of you don't like something that is served then it will be much harder to get your LO to try it. I'm sure the two of you have discussed parenting, but I would buy some books on discipline etc so that you both know exactly how you want to parent instead of jumping in thinking you'll raise the child one way and then have one of you change your mind later down the road.

Outside of that it seems like you've got things together for healthy TTC and a healthy baby!

This may sound silly and its sort of embarassing, but we have always conceived after watching porn together. It opens your cervix. I would suggest practicing that and getting your cervix ready.

Dildos help a lot too. Not the plastic ones though, the skin like kind.

I agreed. Talk about the parenting side of it to so neither one of you would get caught off guard. This is not something most people think of when they decide to have children. This would be a good thing to talk about so that your relationship could grow together.
