I understand everyone has opinions on baby names but be respectful on how to comment if you don't like it. Saying its an awful name is rude because that mommy and daddy may have spent a lot of time deciding on it. AND WHO CARES IF ITS A REAL NAME OR NOT!!!! People have named their kids Blue Ivy, Apple, and many other different but unique names. BUT do not be rude and hateful just because your on the internet!!! Because i'm sure most of you wouldn't like it if it was you who was being told the name you picked is "awful" and how your kid is stuck with that "awful name forever". And some people are IGNORANT on this topic and here is the def for the word. Because you are uneducated on who to dislike but still be respectful. And uneducated about the fact that new names are being made and discovered every freaking day.

ignorant
ˈignərənt/
adjective

  1. 1.
lacking knowledge or awareness in general; uneducated or unsophisticated

But go ahead and say whatever you want because I honestly don't care if i get a bunch of hateful comments for standing up for whats right.

haha.

oK!

not even going to let us have some fun and share the name that you already tore everyone apart for hating before we even know it?  must be good!

I hope you don't always have such a chip on your shoulder, dear.

If you don't want someone's honest opinion, don't ask for it. It's that simple. We're not going to sugar coat anything for you. If we hate your name, we're going to tell you. Also, before you go slinging around the word "ignorant", you may want to learn how to use punctuation and correct grammar.

The OP of that thread was the one who wanted Huntlie. General consensus was it was a shitbox name choice, but then, you know, a few n00bs hopped in to save the day.

(I get to say that, I've been here since 2011 I swear...)

Okay so I had to go be all stalker-y and I found the Huntlie thread

Not one single person is rude in there. NOT ONE.

Just having a different opinion and stating that opinion is not being rude

OP, why are you taking this so personally? You're not the one giving your kid a messed up name
