so I am just about 30 wks and since my last appointment at around 26 wks my doctor said I measured 2 wks ahead. then I had an appointment yesterday and I am still measuring bigger. everything has looked good my entire pregnancy. nothing has been said about him being too big, or if that even affects that I am not quite sure to be honest. but basically can this be normal? or do u think that she could possibly be reading it wrong because ive only seen this lady the last 2 appointments and previously I had other doctors because they switch throughout. I am already a bigger girl and I don't want to sound selfish at all because of course I am more concerned about my baby's health but I have already gained 20 pounds total so I am just really hoping that these last 10 weeks I don't blow up like a balloon even though the doctor says I am at a good point right now. im just venting basically, but need opinions I guess.

Its normal to measure 2 weeks ahead.. its nothing to worry about and it doesn't mean you will blow up like a balloon either lol

my doctor didn't seem concerned either, but I just thought it was weird because like I said I wasn't measuring ahead any other time with the other doctors then all of a sudden I am. im starting my 2 week appointments though so will know things sooner :)

At my last ultrasound at 20 weeks, they told me my daughter was weighting a little over a pound! A lot bigger than what she's supposed to weigh and measuring 5 cm bigger than she should've. But, they changed my due date from the 11th of June to the 9th. Not a big difference. But, my doctor thinks that she's going to grow fast, so it will all change! He said it's not a big concern! I've put on nearly 25 pounds :(

My first child measured big, and they thought she was going to be 9lb based on the sonos. I ended up being overdue, and she was only 7lb 10oz. So, do not worry!

I've been measuring 2 weeks ahead since they started measuring me. Doctor said they don't get concerned until you are measuring 4 weeks ahead. I've only gained 12 pounds so far and I'm 34 weeks. At my 20 wk us my son weighed 1lb and 1oz and they told me he was on the large size for how far along he was. They haven't said anything else about it but they may do another growth scan when I get closer to due date.

awesome glad to hear a lot of you ladies have had similar circumstances. my last ultrasound at 28 weeks my boy weighed approx. 2 pounds 12 oz which from what I read is above average but they said he was in the 48% tile. which to be honest I don't even know what that means exactly haha. deff good to know though ladies! thanks for all ur help.

with our first I was measuring small in the beginning an then I started to measure 2 weeks then 4 weeks ahead...I was induced because they thought baby was going to be 10-12 lbs ..well load and behold she was only 7lbs 12 oz:) ..just had a lot of fluid which made it seem baby was bigger than she actually was

oh wow. see I think they don't even know how to properly measure the size of the baby when in the womb because I have heard so many other stories like that. where they think baby is going to be huge and then baby is born at a completely different weight!
