Will it make him feel left out later in life? KeriannaM Due April 30 (boy); 1 child; Mercer, PA, United States 2 posts

My daughter and I both have a first name that begins with the letter K. My husband's name starts with a C, but sounds like a K. We're expecting a little boy in April, and I really want to name him Alexander, but my family says he may get jealous when he's a little kid because he doesn't fit in with the rest of us. I've heard from my sister that she used to hate having blonde hair, when everyone else she knew had dark hair, so I know that kids do get jealous over silly seeming things to older people. Do you think I should name him something that starts with a K or C? Or does it seem like it will all work out? I know it sounds like a stupid question, but I don't want him to absolutely despise his name because he feels like an outcast when he's older.

Your kid probably won't even know your name until they're like 12. You're just Mom until then.
