Plan b won't affect my baby will it? I had sex February 2nd took the pill 2 days after and now I'm pregnant. I read a previous thread and forgot I even took the pill that's why I'm asking now thanks ladies !
I don't believe it can harm the baby if you're already pregnant! Plan B is just supposed to prevent fertilization and implantation. According to Plan B's website:
"Emergency contraception works in a similar way to birth control pills, primarily by:
- Preventing ovulation
- It may also work by:
- Possibly preventing fertilization by altering tubal transport of sperm and/or egg
- Altering the endometrium, which may inhibit implantation
Emergency contraception is not effective once the process of implantation has begun. It will not harm an existing pregnancy."
I honestly have no idea if it would or not. I would think that no it wouldn't, but definitely let the doctor know obviously. The whole thing with Plan B is to stop implantation or to stall the dropping of an egg. From what I have learned of the pill is that it doesn't actually do anything to the egg itself.
No. Your baby will be fine. You took Plan B too late.
I conceived on hormonal birth control
so far my baby is fine.....
yours should be fine, if you're worried talk to your ob so he/she can reassure you!(:
So I must have been ovulating when I had sex that the plan b didn't work?
My husband and I ttc in December then we agreed to stop try on February 5th & wait till after summer . Well my body must have ovulated when I didn't think I was . But we are still very happy to be pregnant! Things like this only happen for a reason ;)
