I was told at 16 weeks & 6 days this time around that it's a girl but baby was hiding so we go back Saturday to know for sure. In 2 pictures it looks like girl, others boy & the rest you can't even tell. On screen it also looked like it was going to be a boy so I was shocked when she said girl. But with my other girls I knew at 21 weeks with my oldest & about 16 weeks with my 2nd.

11 weeks gestation still waiting for first scan and frankly not interested in knowing gender unless I learn I'm having twins as I don't believe ultrasounds are 100% accurate.

I know a girl who from 20 weeks was told she was having a boy so that's what they prepared for and got a girl. Then second time round it was the opposite.

So I just feel parents should stick to getting gender neutral stuff in the lead up to delivery and from delivery on get the gender specific stuff

My friend across the street has a friend (isn't that always the way lol) but really..I met her and know its true.

She was 31 weeks and high risk all along, so all along she was told a girl. She had a shower and got everything she needed...and found out at her next OB appt baby was infact a boy. This is when I met her, when she brought huge bags of girl stuff over to my friend across the street (who was pregnant with a girl at the time) and I gave her what I had left from when my son was born.

I have no idea how that got missed since she had u/s every 2 weeks.

If you get a good shot and/or 3D the sex is more than obvious. You just have to look at it.

I understand that, but I still don't trust them 100%.

I admit if I find out I'm having twins i'll find out gender (or what the sonographer thinks the gender is) but I wont be rushing out to buy gender specific stuff until after I've given birth.

My partner and I both have a gut feeling we're having twin boys. His already got 4kids (3 boys 1girl), so we're more inclined to believe we'll have boys. However when you consider his 4 kids were had with 2 mums - mum#1 had a boy and girl, mum#2 had 2 boys, so I as mum#3 could get 2girls for all we know, but as I said we have a gut feeling it's twin boys (still waiting on 1st ultrasound to find out tho).

But at the end of the day we don't care. It took us 2years 25days to conceive so our jellybean/s is/are a precious gift regardless of gender and are already loved a million and one percent.

With my first we were told maybe girl at 18 weeks and she was born a girl. But because the pregnancy was "textbook healthy" we only needed that one scan and never looked again, just bought gender neutral and waited until she was born to name her.
With this baby at 17 weeks we were told 100% she's a girl. Because this pregnancy has been so difficult we've had multiple scans and it was confirmed at 21 weeks, 25 weeks and 32 weeks it she is still definitely a girl.
I'm usually not one to believe the scans before 20 weeks since both of my nephews were supposed to be nieces at 16 weeks. Part of me is still worried this one really is a boy but at the last scan the tech was nice enough to turn on the 3D and she is for sure a girl.
