Low amniotic fluid? Erin87 Due March 28 (boy); Canada 8 posts

I'm currently 36.5 weeks pregnant, being induced at 39 weeks due to blood thinners.  I saw my OB today and she gave me the results of my ultrasound saying that the radiologist considers my amniotic fluid to be "low but sufficient" at a 3. My OB says anything between a 2-8 is considered normal and is not worried at all. Just curious if anyone else has been told they have low amniotic fluid?

anything lower than 5 is VERY low. I was scheduled to be induced with DD1 because of borderline low amniotic fluid.

Were you far along in your pregnancy? I've read anything below 5 is very low, which is why I'm curious she didn't seem concerned. She said it's been this way for quite some time

What the other posters said.  I was induced with DS because my fluid was really low.

I've been having weekly non stress tests and ultrasounds done for about a month. My baby measures small as well.

Do they have IUGR? DD1 had IUGR and low amniotic fluid. She was born at 37w 6d at 5lbs 6oz.

That's the medical term, not a forum term. It means inter-uterine growth restriction.
