pain after contractions? Party of 6 4 kids; Nevada 7393 posts

Does anyone else get sore muscles from contractions? I tend to contract a lot at night. I'm fine most day (other than everything being sore down there) but at night they come every few minutes on and off. Last night they were fairly painful and every time I got up to pee my muscles were really sore. I don't remember it with my last 2.
I'm 32+3 weeks with twins.

I do and I have the same issue where my contractions are mostly at night (but not every night) and they are painful. It seems like if that happens for several nights in a row with each additional night they get more uncomfortable. I've assumed it because my muscles are sore.

I have a hard time getting out of bed because of it. And I'm sure the big belly doesn't help lol.

And the contractions at night are so weird to me! I'm not doing much lately but I'm doing more than I should be while on bed rest. But I hardly ever feel contractions during the day. I mostly just feel pain in my pelvis and like a bowling ball is between my legs. But starting around 10 or 11 every night I start contracting and it goes on until probably 6. I move around the least at night so I'd think it'd be the other way around.

Me.! Ugh I was just talking to the L&D nurse this morning about it. Mine are also during the night, she told me to go in if I have more than 4 in an hr but I feel like it's the norm now with the twins so I don't even bother. I can't even get up on my bed without a stepping stool now after the contractions :/

Same here! I was told to go in if they get worse than they were the last time I went in. They have been getting worse but they never last past like 6 am. And I may have them 3-4 minutes apart for a while but I'll wake up a bit later and they've calmed down, then I wake up a little later and they're close again. And trying to move to pee or anything is so painful! Or walking with the weight of them pulling on sore muscles.
Did the nurse say anything about why they get worse at night for you? And L&D? Do you go there for your NST?

No, I'm guessing it's cause we do everything during the day. Yeah I have to go twice a week for NSTs and AFIs. I wish all my muscles down there would stop loosening up down there since that's not the way they're coming lol it hurts to walk as well between contractions and loosening muscles :(

Me too! I'm not sure how these babies are coming out yet but I'm ok with everything NOT getting loose. My pelvis hurts so bad today I hardly got off the couch.

I feel like sitting makes the pelvis area more sore. I hate that those muscles are getting loose to give birth from what the l&d nurse said.

Oh it definitely does! I lay down most of the day but even then, trying to get up to pee is awful. Walking is even worse. I'm on bed rest and I'm supposed to be laying diwn as much as possible anyway but I feel so lazy when the rest of the world is still going on around me abd here I am, in sweats, hair a mess, watching law abd order for the millionth time this week lol. Gah I can't wait to have these babies. I'm getting so anxious.

Soon excited. My 38 week mark that my dr will deliver by is in April! So it's crazy to think in another week, I can say the babies will be here this month! Are you excited?! I have a feeling b turned around again and is breech though. I'm a little nervous for a c section. But I'm nervous to push 2 babies out too lol.
the next few weeks are just going to be so busy! My daughter turns 4 on Wednesday, then the waiting game for the twins all of April, then my son turns 1 may 10.

Omg how exciting.!! My 38 mark to deliver is the first week of May but I'm secretly hoping for April babies :P my bday is the 15th and dh the 14th. I was offered a vbac but I'm too scared to try and like you said push twice lol only thing I love about my c section is that it's fast, literally 30-45mins and they'll be out :) plus I'm done so I'm not worried about more c sections. If you have one, it's not that bad I promise. I hate the spinal but I think my last dr gave me too much, even than so you can get something for anxiety. I'm so excited.!!!

I'll cross my fingers for your April babies ;) the diamond birthstone doesn't hurt either ;)
I was told I'll have to get the epi no matter what just in case. With my first, I had no issues. Then I didn't get it last time. I'm not too worried about it but I try not to read the horror stories about them too lol. How is recovery after? I'm not having any more either so I'm not worried about more c sections. If Ido end up with one, I'll Be getting my tubes tied.
