Anyone have two "smooth" births in a row? KyleySays Due June 4 (boy); 2 kids; Japan 269 posts

I'm getting nervous. I had a relatively stress free labor and birth last time: I managed the pain very well until a 6 -- my epidural was enough to dull (not eliminate) pain yet allowed me to walk around directly afterwards. I had a 2nd degree tear but healed without complications. I wouldn't do it over again just for fun, but all in all, I was really happy with the experience. I pushed for about 18 minutes, so I was involved but not so stimulated that I wanted to rip my DH's face off.

I am worrying this time around that statistics are against me and it'll suck a lot more. Somebody tell me you had two decent birthing experiences in a row? :D

I've had 3 amazing births. few hours laboring, No more than 10 minutes of pushing. BUUUT I have been induced with all of mine. Ppl say induction is worse but not for me.

No :( My first wasn't bad but I had a reaaaally big tear. Second was absolutely traumatizing I had nightmares for weeks. Third one was a piece of cake but I couldn't relax because I was so scared it would be like the second. Hoping this one will be like my third.

My second labor was a breeze. Lol had my little guy out in under an hour! No tears, no pain meds nothing! And my son was a pound heavier than my dd and I had a 2nd degree tear with her.

I was going to be induced but went into labor the day before!! I progressed super slow so they ended up loading on the drugs after my epi. They turned it down many times because it was like I was having constant contractions... can't imagine that crap without an epi O_O

My second one was so much easier! Both were easy, but second was better. Didn't have an epi with either. Didn't tear either time. First was 15 hours, about half hour pushing. Second was 3 hours 45 minutes, out within 4 pushes. I was up walking around straight after my second baby. I honestly didn't feel like I'd had a baby at all. The only thing that was worse were the after pains... They were a lot more painful than the first time.

Eff this shit. I forgot about that too. Oh my goodness the back pain from the epi and the cramping from breastfeeding/uterus getting smaller was IMMENSE with my last baby.

My first labor was long and sucky, but I wa also induced too. I tore with him... With my second, I had a smooth yet horribly painful labor, no tearing. (Almost got sick a few times while I was pushing...)

I did get sick twice! but I made sure to eat light when contractions began (bananas...) so it was easy to handle and not terribly embarrassing to deal with.

DH is so concerned about being in there, but he's just not helpful during labor, and he's scared. I had a really hard time trying to concentrate on pain management and not f**king him up lol because he did nothing but make me angry in there. I am super concerned about that if I have more pain. I'd rather tear and have very little pain!!!

OMG camera!! Wow. Hey more power to you, I didn't even allow pictures (of me, of the baby was fine). DH snuck a "selfie" one of both of us while I was having a contraction and looking like >.< and his face is just beaming happy -- I am glad he did not tell me, bc I got mad enough that he snuck it and I found it in his phone later. I looked like complete shit and I was like whhhhyyyy was this necessary, it's never going to be shown to anyone lol.

My first labor went pretty smooth I had a micro tear with that one had to have 3stitches. This labor was pretty easy to besides the fact that baby was face up and it was harder to get him out had to have help with a vacuum. No tears with this one and he was bigger. First baby 8lbs 2oz this baby 8lbs 13oz. First I was in labor for 8 hrs got epi at 5cm. This baby I was in labor for 5hrs got epi at 8cm.
