I think they got my DD wrong. *Game Over* 3 kids; Winchestertonfieldville, IA, United States 5257 posts

I knew the date of my last menstrual cycle. I even tested like 2 days after AF was supposed to show and that's when I got my positive.

The doctors said it didn't seem to add up based solely on an U/S they did at like 7 weeks. So they put my due date at May 25 which would put me at 31 weeks.

However today they did another ultrasound and baby is measuring at 33 weeks. I know when my period was, and I feel like I'm further along then they say. Should I bring it up at my next appointment?

Nope always go off the dating ultrasound. After a certain point babies grow at different rates but your dd  will stay the same

Go by what your first ultrasound said. Up to 2 weeks difference from your due date in fetal size is normal in the third trimester. Anything past 2 weeks can be indicative of problems.

Baby's can grow big and fast in later pregnancy, the first early US is more accurate. I always measured 2 weeks ahead with my sons and it changes nothing.

That's so weird. The doctors did say it's possible that I ovulate later than a woman normally would after her period.

If she is on track then that scares me because they said it looks like she's about 4.5 lbs O.O

if you have concerns about it then mention it to your doctor but usually ultrascans are correct.

You're 31 weeks and your baby is measuring at 4.5lbs?? That doesn't sound normal at all. Are you diabetic?

Nope and I've only gained about 11 lbs this pregnancy. The doctor didn't even seem concerned though but I was. I'm terrified of the possibility of a c-section.

It doesn't? My daughter was only 3lbs at 32 weeks and was measuring 5 weeks behind according to my OB and perinatologist.

Well the weights can be off by a lb or two

Quoting Not Kayla:

That was how big my son was measuring at 30 weeks, he ended up being born at 41 weeks at 8 lbs 10 oz and 23 inches long.

That makes me feel better. DS was 8lbs and while it did suck, he was also my first.
DD was only 5lbs 13oz (she was early due to pre-e) and I'm terrified the baby will be too small or too big lol!

I was like 10lbs and my Mom had to have a c-section.

Wait.. How much is a baby supposed to weigh at that gestation though? I feel like my sons weighed that much around that time. They werent big babies they were average. Just under 9lbs. As long as baby isn't over 11 lbs you can deliver vaginally.

Goodness that seems big! I had my son at 27w 2d and he was 2lbs 7oz and 15" long. I could only imagine baby measuring at 4.5lbs at 31w. Hopefully they're wrong and baby isn't that big or they're wrong in your dates

Really! My brother was over 10 lbs and my mom never had a c-section. Haha. My brother was over 10 lbs and I was 5 lbs. haha

Yea I don't know what all went on with her labor. Her doctor was an idiot. I was supposed to be born right around x-mas but they let her go like 3 weeks over due.
