Someone brought it to my attention yesterday that I'm 27 weeks and picking up my 28lb daughter and carrying her around. Do you think she is to heavy to be lifting during this late into my pregnancy

My son weighs forty pounds, and i picked him up my whole pregnancy.

Nah, not if it is something you have been doing your whole pregnancy and your body is used to.

I am 32 weeks and DS is 34lbs. i lift him consistently and even horse play and sling him around. No issues for me at all.

Now if you start having pains or feel like your are straining really hard while picking her up, I would talk to your OB about it.

If you were doing it before pregnancy then no. It's fine. But if you're high risk or having probs with pain, then you shouldn't be picking her up n carrying her around.

My son is 36 lbs and I had to just recently stop picking him up to hold him (I'm 38 weeks tomorrow). I still lift him into my truck sometimes and everyone freaks out when I do. But I just listen to my body and can tell when to not push it.
