How much would you charge to babysit a 5 month old 2 days a week for 9.5 hours a day? Also while caring for your three children whom are 7, 5 and 20 months.

you can only charge for the kid that is not yours

Do you have CPR? First Aid?

$45 -$50 a week.
I say that because around here cerified daycares are around $60-$65 a week for part time. Part time is 20hrs or less.

Oh I know that I can only charge for their child. I was just saying that I have children. No I don't have CPR.

Min-wage is $7.25 in PA - that means $50 a week would be around $2.63 an hour.

Ok? Are you saying you should get more than that?

I'm just asking in general. Seems kinda low for a 5 month old Baby. I haven't babysat in years (since I was a teenager).

Minimum wage is 8.25 here and the daycares for part time are 60-65 a week and those are state certified. So thats 3.25/hr. If I make 7.25 an hour im not gonna want to give you half of that.

I'd say around 150 a week but that is a little generous considering you have no certifications and will be devoting your time to other children as well.

Unfortunately babysitters don't usually get min wage and since youre technically self employed you aren't entitled by law to get min wage. I agree $50 a week is a fair wage since they would be able to do daycare for only slightly more.

Edit- also you aren't cpr/1st aid certified, home inspected, fingerprinted.

I watch a 4 month old baby 3 days a week for 9 hours at a time. I charge her 20 dollars a day. I do have a toddler and I am 34 weeks pregnant but that doesn't factor in, really. At 4 months, he is pretty easy all day. I do have first aid and CPR too.
Everywhere and everyone else she has went to asks for a lot more? But I think 20 a day is fair.

150?? For 19 hours? Thats more than minimum wage there. What would be the point in working if you are simply paying the sitter with that?

I wasn't trying to argue with anyone, just asking in all seriousness.
